Don Mills has perhaps more crescents and cul de sac’s then any neighbuorhood in Canada. As Canada’s first planned community, planners wanted residents to feel they were living in a quiet neighbourhood with no through traffic. Homes are therefore on large lots and residents open their doors to feel like they’re living in the country while still being minutes from downtown and close to Toronto’s two major highways. With so many crescents and cul de sac’s it can be difficult to give directions to a home in Don Mills and easy to get lost. Keep checking the blog for more history about Don Mills.
