Orthodontics is about team work between the orthodontist and the patient. One of the most important ways a patient can help in achieving an excellent bite is by wearing their elastics as prescribed by their orthodontist 24/7. Initially elastics may be difficult to wear and may come with some discomfort. However after a short time and with patience, persistence and determination, the discomfort goes away and it becomes a simple process and the bite feels more comfortable.
