The real deal on “Whitening toothpastes”

Did your mother ever tell you not to believe everything that you read or hear?   The term “whitening” can simply mean that toothpaste has an abrasive component within it that removes stains. All toothpastes are therefore “whitening”. The chemical agent, hydrogen peroxide, is what results in the actual whitening of teeth, and most of these toothpastes do not contain these agents.   Instead of spending your money on fancy toothpastes, buy yourself a nice shirt, and instead purchase the lesser expensive toothpaste that equally “whitens” your teeth.
